Details: The plot of Kurumi ended with "Kiss," episode 24 of the broadcast series, so these four OAVs don't fit into the major continuity. Saki becomes an overnight film star in episode 25, and the filmmakers include some clever black-and-white footage of her performances. But she quits, because going to Hollywood would mean leaving Kurumi and Nakahito. The exuberant Kurumi tries to become not so much an adult as a proper, traditional Japanese lady in episode 27. She quickly learns the traditional arts of cooking, flower arranging, and the tea ceremony, but the effort to be ladylike exhausts her. The OAVs conclude with a sort of no-holds-barred Steel Angel Olympics: Nakahito's kiss is the prize. Needless to say, he and Kurumi end up together. These new adventures offer a lightweight coda for fans of this good-natured jiggle series. (Rated 17 and older: nudity, minor profanity, violence, risqué humor) --Charles Solomon
