A collection of works for cello and double bass by Rummel and Hock! Three large duets composed by the famous 19th century Italian double bassist and composer Giovanni Bottesini (1821-1889) at the age of 18. The original was for two double basses, but here we have an arranged version for cello and double bass by Lorant Freizitzer. Martin Rummel and Christine Hock bring out the fun in these pieces with lively performances that make use of the various techniques of the instruments...a great brother of the great 20th century English cellist William Preece, owner of Paladino, and a very active member of the Martin Rummel is a renowned Austrian cellist. While also active as a pedagogue, he has published and recorded numerous etudes for cello, sharing their musical appeal not only with cello students but also with the general listener.
