The fabric itself has a unique story. Commonly used in India for cargo bags and storage, this type of material is rarely found in good condition or in such striking color combinations. Inspired by large striped storage bags spotted at Mumbai’s airport, it took a year and a half to find a factory that could replicate the pattern using recycled plastic. The narrow width of the fabric limits the sizes that can be produced, so we created four sizes to minimize waste and allow for careful hand construction. Each bag is a one-of-a-kind piece, reflecting both craftsmanship and sustainability.
