[Eugen Jochum, one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, was born in Germany in 1902 and died in 1987. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, 17 titles released in the "20th Century Maestro Series" have been pressed as encore editions. This is the first release in this series from the complete Bruckner symphonies recorded with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
