Description:
The last reconstruction of his own film music, written by Morricone! Performed by artists also closely associated with the legendary film musician Ennio Morricone, who passed away in July 2020, this is the first recording of his "Cinema Suite" for violin and orchestra, which he completed immediately after his last public performance in Rome in January of the same year. This collection of arrangements for violin is the last in a series of albums dedicated to Morricone's own soloists, including vocals, piano, pan flute, cello, and accordion. The violin is played by Marco Serino, who has been Morricone's trusted soloist on soundtracks and concert tours for 20 years. The conductor is his second son, Andrea, who is also known as a co-creator of the work, who continues his legacy and gives a wonderful performance. There has been no end to the number of tribute recordings, such as "Il Volo Sings Morricone" (SONY), but this one, arranged by Morricone himself, can be said to be the real deal. Naxos Japan
