Description:
Nardini was reportedly gifted on the violin and became an excellent violinist under the renowned Giuseppe Tartini. He served as music director at the court of Grand Duke Leopoldo of Florence, where he worked for the rest of his life. His expressive powers were highly regarded, and he performed before Ferdinand IV and Queen Maria Carolina of Naples, as well as Mozart's father and son. Nardini's works cover a wide range of genres in which the violin plays an important role. His style is in line with the fashion of the time, with easy listening melodies, simple and enjoyable for the listener. It is interesting to note that this new recording also includes a sonata in A major, which includes a bass continuo, and a duet, both of which are very attractive and beautiful, and the music is warm and inviting to the instrument. The violin is played by Igor Luhase. His playing is graceful and supple, his string tone is warm, and the individual movements are well thought out. Everything creates a pleasant mood and is sure to be an enjoyable listening experience.
