The single-piece foam “U” core provides effective side-wall support to facilitate patient transfer and is suitable for use on all profiling beds. The cover fabric conforms to the deeply contoured foam castellations when the bed is profiled to minimize rucking on the top surface and reduces potential tissue damage. The toughened PU coated base prolongs the longevity of the mattress while the double-coated Poly-urethane sides reduce the risk of strike-through, hydrolysis or relamination.
