The Prometheus Traction Splint is a revolutionary device designed to effectively manage limb fractures, particularly severe midshaft fractures of the femur and other long bones. The femur, being the longest and strongest bone in the human body, is surrounded by powerful muscles such as the quadriceps. When a fracture occurs, these muscles can spasm, causing the bone ends to misalign, resulting in excruciating pain, bleeding (internal or external), and potential muscle and nerve damage. The Prometheus Traction Splint is specifically designed to address these concerns and provide optimal care for patients with suspected limb fractures.

The splint comes complete with an adjustable pole, ankle hitch, lower leg strap, lower thigh strap (fitted to the pole), and an upper thigh strap.
