We really liked the purity of these wines from André Robert.
The house style is to pick grapes at perfect maturation and to ferment naturally. They choose to block the malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the freshness of the Champagne. The base wine is matured for an extended period in barrels or tanks for around 10 months.
Blend: Base Wine Harvest 2018 (60%) and Solera “Les Jardins du Mesnil” (40%)
Barrel Fermentation: 60% fermented in 228-liter oak barrels
Tank Fermentation: 40% of the wine is fermented in tanks on fine lees
Bottling: July 2019
